Clydebank manager Gordon Moffat insists his players are remaining grounded, despite moving seven points clear at the top of the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division.
It was first against second at Holm Park on Saturday with the Bankies coming out on top in a 3-0 victory thanks to a Lee Gallacher brace and Nicky Low's strike.
Gallacher fired in a beauty of a free-kick after just ten minutes before Low curled in another fantastic effort a few minutes after the break.
Aaron Mason was dismissed for the visitors, which allowed Gallacher to put the icing on the cake to seal the points in the closing minutes.
Moff was impressed with his player's reaction after last week's disappointing Scottish Cup exit to Formartine United and was keen to bring a ten-year run without a league victory against Beith to an end.
Speaking to the Clydebank Post, he said: "We were disappointed last week that we never done ourselves justice in a big game so we spoke about it this week and made sure training was a high intensity because we knew the game would be like that.
"I’m delighted with the performance and the result. Good teams and good players can bounce back and you’ve got to make sure you don’t have two bad performances in a row.
"I was definitely aware that we hadn’t beat Beith in a while which was a bit of a personal frustration for me because we have always been well in the games and ended up losing out.
"I said to the players that if we perform at the level we are capable of then we can win the game and it proved to be the case because we hit that level for a consistent period.
"The frustration last week was that we had a whole half of not performing whereas Saturday, bar a 20-minute spell in the first half, we were right on it.
"You’ve got to recognise the quality of the team you are playing and you’re not going to have it all your own way for 90 minutes but you just need to not panic and relax and show our shape and defensive qualities.
"It's difficult to know where you stand with the table at the minute because everyone can do the maths and can see that Pollok and Beith can be right back amongst it and ahead of us if they win their games in hand.
"The players are fairly level-headed, even on Saturday before I’ve said anything I’ve got my captain and vice-captain reminding their teammates to have no mad celebrations and that we haven’t done anything yet which tells me a lot about the group that I’ve got."
Bankies are at home again next Saturday when Darvel come to town.
The previously big-spending Ayrshire side have been forced to move a number of their top players on in recent weeks but Moff won't be taking anything for granted.
He explained: "Darvel have well-documented issues going on and has lost a few high-quality players but you could be sucked into a false sense of security with that. I was looking at their squad on Saturday and it’s formidable with quality and experience so we can’t be taking that lightly.
"It’ll be very similar to the Beith game where it will be high octane and we need to be on it to get anything out of it."
