A FORMER Celtic player who helped the hoops to a treble last season paid a special visit to budding young Clydebank footballers today. (Tuesday, July 18.)

Aaron Mooy did a meet and greet with kids at Goals Glasgow West on Great Western Road, much to the joy of the youngsters taking part in their summer football camp.

Last month, the Australian shocked fans when he announced his retirement from the sport at 32 years old despite enjoying arguably his finest season in football, completing the domestic treble and playing for his country in the World Cup.

At this time of year, Mooy would usually be in the middle of a pre-season schedule but he used some of his newfound free time to pose for photos and chat with the kids from Clydebank, Drumchapel and the wider area.
