Clydebank face the prospect of an early season meeting with last season's Premier Division champions after the draw for the South Challenge Cup was made on Sunday.
As fixtures for the Bankies 2023/24 campaign continues to gather pace, Gordon Moffat's troops will be at home to either Ardeer Thistle FC or top dogs Beith Juniors in round two of the annual knockout competition after receiving a bye in round one.
Last term, Beith shocked everyone by surging to the league title a year after finishing just above the relegation zone.
And now all eyes will be on whether or not the Garnock Valley side can repeat the form of last year as the new campaign looms on the horizon.
Clydebank has never faced Ardeer Thistle before, the Stevenston outfit relegated from the Second Division in 2022/23.
Ties are to be played on the weekend of September 16.

The South Challenge Cup features 163 senior non-league clubs from the Lowland Football League (16), East of Scotland Football League (59), South of Scotland Football League (10), and Clydebank's West of Scotland Football League (79).
The Holm Park side lost 2-1 in the fifth round to Lowland League high-flyers Stirling University in last season's tournament, with the students finishing fourth in their set-up behind champion Spartans and Rangers and Celtic B.
This term, boss Moff has targeted another cup run after tasting the big events with a cup final appearance in the West of Scotland cup, the Bankies losing 2-0 to Auchinleck Talbot in April.
