A RISE in anti-social behaviour on buses along a busy Glasgow road has prompted police to step up efforts to combat the disorder.

Community officers from Glasgow City Police Division have been visible this week along Dumbarton Road and its buses in a bid to deter would-be troublemakers from causing disruption across routes.

Several buses have recently been vandalised along Dumbarton Road and officers from Drumchapel and Partick teamed up with First Bus Glasgow to patrol bus stops and board buses.

The police say officers will remain visible in the immediate future and engage with members of the public in the area.
