1. New tourism campaign launched
A new campaign aimed at attracting tourism to Clydebank was launched.
The initiative saw the area promoted on billboards, subway carriages, buses, trains, and shopping centres across the central belt.
It was West Dunbartonshire Council's biggest tourism campaign to date and also included neighbouring Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven.
2. Heroic pensioner came to aid of disabled council tenant
A heroic pensioner, a kind-hearted carer, and even a fully-equipped fire crew came to the aid of a disabled council tenant who said she had suffered weeks of stress and misery at the hands of reported cowboy builders.
Michelle Musleh and her husband Norman were forced to dial 999 when water began pouring into their bathroom in the early hours of the morning.
By the time firefighters arrived at the Park Court address in Littleholm Place, water had already caused significant damage and penetrated two properties below their tenth-floor flat.
This was the second time in the space of two weeks that a pipe had ruptured in their bathroom which was undergoing alterations to help Michelle with her visual impairment.
On this occasion, 72-year-old neighbour Hugh McMenemy and Michelle's home carer came to the rescue and took turns plugging the pipe with their bare hands for over an hour before they were able to seal the leak with tape.
3. Bankie couple Donald and Betty MacPherson celebrate Diamond Wedding Anniversary
Radnor Park couple Donald and Betty MacPherson were reunited with their original wedding guests as they raised a glass to celebrate 60 years of marriage.
The couple rolled back the years at a special evening to mark their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.
They were delighted to be joined by all the principal guests who watched them get married on April 23, 1953.
Best man Jack Hutchison, bridesmaids Betty Higgison and Rose Hanon, flowergirl Betty McBain and pageboy Alex Waterson were all on hand to pass on their best wishes when the happy couple gathered with friends and family at the Abbotsford Hotel in Dumbarton.
4. Children losing valuable learning time due to old computers
Youngsters at Linnvale Primary School (LPS) were hoping to win £5,000 to update their school's outdated computers.
The Clydebank Post was offering Bankies the chance to win a cash boost for their child's school to ensure they got the best learning chance possible.
Lindsay Thomas, head teacher at LPS at the time, said: "Our current PC's are old and take a long time to start up and log on and the children are losing valuable learning time just completing this task."
5. Clyde Shopping Centre in bid to preserve honeybees
A report published at the end of April 2013 told how the Scottish Government was looking to help bee farmers across the country after they were hit by bad weather - and Clyde was doing its bit to help.
Staff from Clyde Shopping Centre were doing their all to try and preserve honeybees in the area.
Tom McColgan, operations manager at the centre at the time, told how he wanted to try and increase the numbers by installing a hive on the roof of the shopping centre and how he believed it had already been a great success.
6. Young trainees show they are a dab hand at building
A group of young trainees showed they were a class act by building specialised learning equipment for a Knightswood primary school.
The Serviceworks team built and installed educational play equipment in the playground of St Ninian's Primary.
The youngsters at the school had a sensory garden with timber plant boxes, a sheltered corner coral that could be used as an outdoor classroom, and two willow tunnels made from an arched roof of willow tree saplings installed.
